GUWAHATI: A BSc Botany student at Nalbari College, has achieved a remarkable feat by entering the Guinness Book of World Records for writing a book within nine hours.
Rajdeep Kashyap’s philosophical work titled Jonmo Prem Mrityu – Kisu Byogyanik Kisu Aaloukik (Birth Love Death – Some Scientific Some Supernatural) spans 63 pages.
To qualify for the Guinness World Records, Rajdeep initially faced a challenge in providing video evidence of his writing process as per protocol.
However, with the endorsement and support of his college principal, his achievement was substantiated and submitted successfully.
Inspired by a news report about another student from Rajasthan, who wrote a book in three days, Rajdeep embarked on his writing journey on May 24 at 3:55 pm, completing it by 1:02 am the next day.
Despite a brief 30-minute dinner break, he managed to craft the entire book in one continuous session.
In an interview with a local tabloid, Rajdeep expressed that writing remains a hobby rather than a career aspiration.
The achievement adds to a growing list of remarkable records set by individuals from Assam.
On June 6, another talented artist from Assam’s Lakhimpur, Nayanmoni Hazarika, achieved recognition in the India Book of Records.
His remarkable feat involved creating a large-sized portrait of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, uniquely executed upside down on white paper using ash derived from a burning log of wood.
