Guwahati: The Assam State Election Commission (ASEC) has officially announced the schedule for the upcoming election to the 36 constituencies of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC).
The voting will take place on April 2 from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The last date for filing nominations is March 15 from 11 AM to 3 PM. The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on March 17 at 11 AM.
The deadline for the withdrawal of candidature is March 19, by 3 PM.
The publication of the list of contesting candidates will be on March 19, 2025, after the withdrawal period.
In case of a re-poll, it will be held on April 3 from 7 AM to 3 PM.
The counting of votes will begin on April 4 at 8 AM and continue until the completion of the process. The results will be declared on April 4.
The total number of voters stands at 4,45,586, comprising 2,16,181 male voters, 2,29,394 female voters, and 11 voters from the ‘Others’ category.
The election will take place at 630 polling stations across the region.
The maximum ceiling for campaign expenditure has been fixed at Rs 2.50 lakh for each candidate.

With the announcement of the election, the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has come into immediate effect in all areas under the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council.
The Assam State Election Commission will enforce the MCC guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI), ensuring the free and fair conduct of the elections.
