Guwahati: The Assam government has entered a strategic collaboration with Bigtree Entertainment, the company behind online ticketing platform BookMyShow, to host a series of national and international music concerts across the state.
The agreement, signed on Tuesday between the Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) and BookMyShow, was formalized in the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at an official ceremony in Guwahati.
Announcing the partnership on social media, Sarma stated, “Ticketing made seamless! Assam is poised to become the next big destination for concerts and events, with BookMyShow as the one-stop platform for all tickets.”
The chief minister highlighted the initiative as a transformative step in Assam’s cultural and entertainment landscape.

“Assam’s music and concert economy will provide a fresh avenue for tourism and youth engagement, complementing our natural and heritage tourism,” he added.
