Guwahati: Assam Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Jayanta Mallabaruah, chaired a detailed review meeting with representatives of Urban Local Bodies, including Municipal Corporations and Municipal Boards, in Guwahati.
The review meeting was held under the aegis of the Housing and Urban Affairs Department.
The discussions focused on addressing critical urban challenges. The meeting explored strategies to ensure adequate and proper sanitation infrastructure for all residents.
It also included discussions on providing safe drinking water facilities and the development of efficient drainage systems to prevent flooding and maintain public health
Furthermore, the discussions also delved into innovative approaches for holistic urban development.

The meeting was attended by the mayor of the Municipal Corporation, chairpersons and deputy chairpersons of Municipal Boards, and Urban Administrative Service officials, emphasizing collaborative efforts for effective urban management.
