Hailakandi: A 27-year-old man was arrested in Hailakandi district for allegedly uploading a video showing him lying between railway tracks as a train passed over him, police said on Thursday.
The accused, identified as Papul Alom Barbhuiya, was taken into custody on Tuesday by the Lala police.
The 31-second video, posted on Facebook earlier this week, shows Barbhuiya lying between the tracks at Lala railway station while recording a train allegedly passing over him.
The authenticity of the video could not be independently verified.
Barbhuiya, who describes himself as a video game programmer on his social media profiles and is reportedly based in Bengaluru, later uploaded another video claiming the initial clip was edited.
