Bengaluru: Bengaluru Police arrested Shamshuddin, a man from Assam, on Monday for allegedly murdering his lover, Asha, a mother of two, and dumping her body in a garbage truck.
The gruesome discovery was made on Sunday when police found the victim’s body stuffed in a gunny bag inside a garbage truck under the jurisdiction of Channammanakere Achukattu police station.
Swift investigations, including analysis of CCTV footage, led to Shamshuddin’s arrest.
According to police, Asha, a single mother employed at a private company, had met Shamshuddin at work.
The two developed a relationship and were living together in the Hulimavu area.
However, Shamshuddin, who is already married with children living in Assam, reportedly had frequent quarrels with Asha.
In a fit of rage, he allegedly strangled her to death, transported her body on a motorbike, and disposed of it in a garbage truck. Investigations are ongoing to uncover more details surrounding the incident.
This case adds to a series of shocking crimes involving relationships and domestic disputes in Bengaluru.

Roy later died by suicide, his body discovered near a crematorium in Odisha.
