Guwahati: Northeast India’s biggest confluence of Building materials, Architecture, Interior Design, and Construction – BAIC Exhibition – was inaugurated by Assam Minister for Tea Tribe Welfare and Labour Welfare Sanjoy Kishan at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre in Guwahati on August 9.

The three-day exhibition, to be held till August 11, is bringing together over 5,000 dealers and distributors, 100 exhibitors, 300 builders and developers and 7,000 participants.

BAIC, which stands for Building, Architecture, Interior Design, and Construction, is a grand ensemble of India’s top architectural marvels, building material companies and dealers, designers, manufacturers, consultants, engineers, project managers, government officials, and enthusiasts, among others.

Addressing the inaugural gathering, Minister Sanjoy Kishan termed the exhibition as one of the first such initiatives to bring together a large magnitude of people of the domain under one roof.

Kishan said that this will enable industry-level collaboration and give access to the latest trends to the people of the region.

Other dignitaries present during the inauguration were Vice Chairman at AEGCL Dr Debojit Mahanta; Vice Chairman at AIDC Navadeep Kalita, Member of Mission Finance Kellol Chakraborty, Member of Mission Planning and Development Mukul Kalita, among others.

BAIC founders Neha Malhotra and Maloxmi Sinha (Miilee) said that the inauguration of the exhibition is the culmination of years of hard work. They emphasized that this exhibition is serving as a catalyst for business deals and a hub for innovative solutions, offering a one-stop platform for all stakeholders in the industry.

“Today marks the culmination of years of hard work. The Northeast region has always sought comprehensive solutions under one roof, and this collective effort will undoubtedly bring immense benefits to everyone involved,” said the founders.

They added that the event is ideal for building material manufacturers, dealers from Northeast India, architects, interior designers, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and project engineers.

It is also highly recommended for those looking to stay informed about the latest trends in construction and interior design, some of which are previously unheard of in this region. Moreover, this event presents a fantastic opportunity for individuals currently building their dream homes to gain valuable insights and resources.

Attendees at the BAIC Exhibition can look forward to a variety of activities, including insightful seminars, hands-on workshops, and engaging panel discussions featuring industry experts and thought leaders.

The panel discussions at the BAIC Exhibition will be a focal point, featuring leading experts from architecture, interior design, construction, and building materials.

Attendees can expect in-depth explorations of emerging industry trends, such as sustainable building practices and the integration of smart technologies, along with real-world case studies showcasing innovative solutions. These sessions will be interactive, including Q&A opportunities for direct engagement with the speakers.

The exhibition area will also showcase leading manufacturers and service providers displaying their state-of-the-art products and services.

This exhibition space will serve as a marketplace for industry professionals to discover new solutions, explore the latest innovations, and foster business partnerships and collaborations, making it an invaluable event for all participants.
