GUWAHATI: Another student of the Indian Institute of Technology-Guwahati (IIT-G) in Assam was found dead inside a hostel room on Monday morning.
The deceased identified as Bimlesh Kumar was a resident of Uttar Pradesh. He was a third-year B.Tech Computer Science student.
The 21-year-old student allegedly died by suicide.
His dead body was found in his hostel room at the Brahmaputra Hostel located inside the IIT-G campus.
According to reports, police officials have sent the body for post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.
This incident marks the second suicide at the premier institute within a month. On August 9, an M.Tech student was found dead inside a hostel room.

The deceased identified as Saumya was also a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
The recent spate of incidents has raised serious concerns about the mental health of students at IIT Guwahati. This has led to calls for improved counselling and support systems.
