Jorhat: Air Marshal Surat Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Air Command, visited Air Force Station Jorhat, a premier airbase in Assam, on Tuesday.
He was received by Air Commodore R Arvind, Air Officer Commanding, AF Station Jorhat and Air Commodore Sunil Agrawal Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Hospital Jorhat.
The Air Marshal was briefed on the base’s operational readiness, maintenance, administrative preparedness, and ongoing infrastructure development works at the Station.
He also participated in Diwali festivities with air warriors stationed at the base and Advanced Landing Grounds.
The Air Marshal expressed his satisfaction with the high morale and dedication of the air warriors. He encouraged them to maintain their readiness to face any challenge. He also conveyed his gratitude to the families of the air warriors for their support.

The Diwali celebrations provided an opportunity for air warriors, especially those stationed in remote locations, to interact with their commander and boost morale.
