GUWAHATI: Assam down town University (AdtU) has been honoured with the prestigious Education Excellence Award 2024 at The Economic Times Education Excellence Award 2024.
The university clinched the silver prize in the Excellence in Global Collaboration category.
In a statement released on Friday, the university expressed its profound joy in achieving this milestone, stating, “We take great delight in our quest for greatness, relishing each step as we rise to the ranks of the world’s top universities.”
The university has been actively spearheading initiatives to facilitate international partnerships, providing financial support for a diverse array of projects aimed at enhancing collaboration.
In line with its dedication to enhancing educational exchange programmes through international collaborations, AdtU recently formalised a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), Indonesia.
The MoA outlines a strategic roadmap for future joint initiatives, encompassing student and faculty exchange programmes, collaborative research ventures, and the organisation of international conferences and workshops.
Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Mrinmoy Basak, Director of International Affairs at AdtU, has emerged as the sole Indian visiting professor fully sponsored by the Indonesian government at the faculty exchange programme.
Additionally, in a strategic alliance aimed at addressing the evolving demands of the modern job market, AdtU has joined forces with IBM to equip students with essential IT skills.
The partnership, unveiled recently during a grand launch event at the University campus in Guwahati, aims to empower students with expertise in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data science, and predictive analytics.
By leveraging IBM’s industry-leading technologies and educational resources, AdtU is poised to prepare its students for success in the dynamic landscape of the digital era.
