Guwahati: Assam down town University (AdtU) is set to expand its academic offerings with the launch of two new programmes on March 10.
The university, in collaboration with VFS Global Academy, will officially introduce a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in travel and tourism and a Master’s in travel and tourism.
The new programmes are aimed at providing students with industry-relevant skills and knowledge.
The new programs are designed to equip students with the necessary expertise to thrive in the dynamic and rapidly evolving travel and tourism industry.
The BBA in travel and tourism is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of business principles within the context of the travel and tourism industry.
The university anticipates that these new programs will attract a significant number of applicants, further solidifying AdtU’s position as a leading private institution for professional education in the region.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Science & Technology, recently inaugurated the Inclusive Technology Business Incubator (iTBI) at Assam down town University (AdtU) during the National Science Day celebrations held at Vigyan Bhawan.
As part of the iTBI initiative, AdtU has been granted ₹4.73 crore by the DST to support technology startups focusing on the healthcare and ICT sectors.
The initiative aims to provide infrastructure and incubation support to researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs, bolstering the startup ecosystem in the region.
