GUWAHATI: A total of 74 companies visited the campus of Assam Down Town University (AdtU) for recruitment during the 2023-24 placement season, offering jobs to 431 students.
The season witnessed jobs being offered to 431 students of the university.
The highest package offered this season was Rs 10 lakh per annum (LPA), awarded to five exceptional students.
Additionally, 11 students received offers of Rs 8 LPA, 19 students secured packages of Rs 7 LPA and above, and 25 students received offers ranging from Rs 5 lakh to 6.9 lakh per annum.
Prominent companies participating in the recruitment drive included industry giants such as Wipro, PwC, TCS, Asian Paints, Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Narayana Hospital, Ceasefire Industries Limited, Taj Cement, Marico Limited, ICICI Prudential, SeSTA, and Amrit Cement, among others.
“We are immensely proud of the achievements of our students during the placement season 2023-24,” said Rimjhim Baruah Borah, Associate Director (i/c) of the Directorate of Career Advancement at AdtU.
To commemorate this success, AdtU recently organised a Success Meet on campus.
The event celebrated the students’ hard work, dedication, and exceptional skills, which have led to their successful placements.
“The success meet gives us the chance to honour the students’ hard work and dedication. The exceptional placement results are a testament to the quality education and training provided at AdtU, as well as the valuable industry partnerships we have forged,” added Borah.
The event not only recognised the achievements of the students but also served as an opportunity for them to showcase their academic journeys to peers, faculty members, and prospective employers.
