Guwahati: Dima Hasao’s first-ever ‘Boxing Coaching Centre’ has been inaugurated in Gerem village, a move that is set to provide local youth with a new avenue for sports and career development.

The centre in Assam’s Dima Hasao district was formally inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Munindra Nath Ngatey near National Highway 54 on Saturday.

The initiative, which has the support of the District Sports Officer and guidance from experienced boxing experts, will serve as a dedicated training platform for aspiring young athletes.

The establishment of this coaching centre is a significant step towards nurturing young talent in Dima Hasao. This initiative aims to empower young boxers and help them achieve success at both national and international levels, bringing recognition to the district.
