Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a meeting with Jeet Adani, Director of the Adani Group, on Sunday to discuss the progress of Rs. 50,000 crore investment proposals announced by the conglomerate during the Advantage Assam 2.0 business summit in February.
The chief minister expressed optimism about the proposals, which include investments in an aero-city, hotels, a cement plant, and key infrastructure projects, materializing soon.
“During #AdvantageAssam2, the Adani Group committed ₹50,000 crore in investments. Today, I, along with senior officials, had a detailed discussion with Mr. Jeet Adani and his team to expedite the implementation of these plans,” Sarma stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

The significant commitment, announced by Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani at the summit’s inaugural event, aims to boost Assam’s development across multiple sectors.
The state government is working closely with the Adani Group to operationalise the agreements and accelerate economic growth in the region.
