New Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma called on Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, at his official residence in New Delhi on Tuesday.
In course of the meeting that lasted for close to 30 minutes, Chief Minister Sarma extended invitation to Union Minister Scindia to attend the upcoming Advantage Assam Summit in Guwahati in February next year.
Lauding Union Minister Scindia for organising the Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav in Delhi that would give a great impetus to the entire Northeast Region, the Chief Minister and the Union Minister discussed in detail about the forthcoming event and the avenues related to ongoing development projects in Assam.

Later taking to the microblogging site X (formerly Twitter), CM Sarma wrote, “This morning, I had the pleasure to invite Hon’ble Union Minister Shri @JM_Scindia ji to the #AdvantageAssam summit to be held in Guwahati on Feb 2025.
