Guwahati: More than Rs. 600 lakh in unclaimed financial assets have been disbursed to over 500 depositors in two Assam districts as part of the nationwide “Your Money, Your Rights” campaign, officials said on Friday.
The ongoing initiative, led by the Depositor Education and Awareness Fund (DEA Fund), is holding district-level camps across Assam until December 31 to help citizens trace and recover long-pending deposits, insurance dues, and mutual fund investments.
In the fourth phase of the drive, special assistance camps were conducted in Kamrup Metropolitan and Kamrup districts.

The Kamrup Metro camp, organised by UCO Bank as the Lead Bank under the supervision of the district collector and the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), Assam, saw the bulk of the recoveries.
According to officials, claims worth Rs. 511.05 lakh were settled in Kamrup Metropolitan alone, benefiting 327 depositors.
In Kamrup district, where the camp was held with the support of Yuva Vikash Kendra, Amingaon, another Rs. 89.59 lakh was released across 177 accounts.
Dedicated assistance counters helped citizens file claims, complete verification, and update KYC details with the support of banks and financial institutions participating in the campaign.
