Guwahati: Homegrown brand—Luit Blue—has officially started distribution in Assam with the launch of its first batch of packaged drinking water products.

The initial rollout includes 20-litre PET jars, 500 ml and 750ml bottles, catering to both domestic and on-the-go needs.

With a sharp focus on quality, accessibility, and community empowerment, Luit Blue aims to set new standards in the region’s packaged drinking water segment.

“As per the current market demand, we have introduced 750ml of packaged drinking water priced at Rs 10 per bottle as one of our variants. We ensure that each bottle delivers clean and safe hydration through a carefully monitored purification process following all the guidelines laid out by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI),” said Lona Chaliha (Mondalica), founder of D & Chaliha Enterprise.

Luit Blue’s water undergoes a multi-stage purification process at the brand’s state-of-the-art facility near Chandrapur in Guwahati. The purification process includes reverse osmosis (RO), UV treatment, and ozonisation, followed by strict microbial testing.

Every batch is lab-tested for safety, and the company maintains a zero-contamination guarantee, ensuring consumers receive safe, pure, and refreshing drinking water every time.

The Guwahati-based company takes pride in its majorly women-led workforce, with a special focus on creating livelihood opportunities for local women.

Employees are provided regular upskilling workshops and training in quality control, logistics, and packaging operations – paving the way for long-term employment and personal growth.

As part of its growth plans, Luit Blue will soon introduce new pack sizes and variants to meet the evolving needs of consumers across Assam and the wider Northeast India.

The company is also exploring partnerships with distributors, retail chains, institutions, and other platforms for expanded reach.

The name “Luit Blue” draws inspiration from the mighty Brahmaputra River, also known as “Luit” in Assamese, which is a symbol of purity, strength, and life.

The word “Blue” reflects both the clarity of water and the brand’s commitment to clarity, mineral-rich purity and sustainable hydration.

With a mission-driven approach to make clean water a basic right, Luit Blue envisions becoming the preferred water brand of Northeast India, delivering not just hydration, but hope and health to every household.
