Guwahati: Another suspected jihadi operative was arrested at Bilasipara in western Assam’s Dhubri district on Sunday by the Special Task Force (STF) of the Assam Police.
Sources within the Assam police revealed that the arrest was made based on specific intelligence inputs.
The suspect, identified as Jaheer Ali, a resident of Dhubri district, is being brought to Guwahati for further legal proceedings.
The arrest is part of the ongoing ‘Operation Praghat,’ a police operation targeting suspected individuals involved in jihadi activities.
With this arrest, the total number of people apprehended in connection with this case has risen to 13.
