Guwahati: Assam down town University (AdtU) has taken another progressive step toward industry-oriented education by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Delhivery, India’s largest and fastest-growing logistics company.

As part of this collaboration, AdtU is introducing Supply Chain Management as a specialization under its BBA programme, designed to equip students with both academic insight and real-world experience in the logistics sector.

This three-year industry-integrated course includes two years of on-campus learning followed by a one-year paid internship across pan India with Delhivery and its partners.

With operations spanning 18,000+ pin codes and a market capitalization of $3.4 billion, Delhivery has delivered over 3.5 billion parcels, serving more than 760 million orders annually.

Students will benefit from a paid internship with India’s top logistics brand, offering first-hand exposure to managing high-volume supply chains. The programme ensures 100% placement support across core domains like warehousing, operations, freight, and inventory management.

With a clear career progression path within Delhivery, students can move from executive roles to leadership positions. The curriculum includes live operational exposure, real-time simulations, and logistics hub immersions.

Students will also receive industry-recognized certifications, enhancing employability in India’s booming $11.6 trillion logistics sector.

Speaking on the collaboration, Prof. (Dr.) Narayan Chandra Talukdar, Vice Chancellor of Assam down town University, said, “This MoU marks a strategic alignment between academia and industry. Our students will not only learn in classrooms but also gain exposure to the most dynamic logistics environments in the country, preparing them to lead in tomorrow’s supply chain ecosystem.”

Suraju Dutta, SVP – Global Partnerships, Delhivery Ltd. said: “This partnership with Assam down town University is a part of our strategy to strengthen talent development in India’s logistics sector. By embedding our training modules within academic programmes, we are not only enhancing employability but also building a future-ready workforce aligned with industry needs.”

He said, “The model is structured for scalability and will serve as a blueprint as we extend this initiative to universities across the country, supporting local talent pipelines and advancing capability-building across the logistics ecosystem.”

With Delhivery’s robust infrastructure and expanding global footprint, students will gain an industry edge and job readiness from day one. This is not just a degree, it’s a launch pad into the future of logistics, technology, and global commerce.
