Tezpur: On the occasion of Army Day 2026, Lieutenant General Gambhir Singh, General Officer Commanding of the Gajraj Corps, paid tribute to fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at the Gajraj War Memorial in Tezpur.
The solemn ceremony was held to honour the supreme sacrifice of soldiers who laid down their lives in the service of the nation.
During the event, Lt Gen Singh also interacted with veterans, acknowledging their lifelong dedication, sacrifices and continued commitment to the country.

Addressing those present, the GOC said the courage and selfless service of the nation’s bravehearts and veterans would continue to inspire future generations and strengthen India’s resolve towards building a stronger nation.
Officials said the event underscored the Indian Army’s deep respect for its fallen heroes and veterans, and reaffirmed its enduring commitment to the core values of service, sacrifice and legacy.
