Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday released its first list of 14 candidates for the Assam assembly elections 2026.
The party said that nominees have been finalized for several seats, including Naoboicha, Dergaon, Gohpur, Central Guwahati, and Sibsagar, as well as other constituencies.
According to the list, Achyut Das has been fielded from the Naoboicha constituency, while Pulin Gogoi will contest from Dergaon. Jarboam Kutum has been nominated from Gohpur, and Anurupa Dekaraja from Central Guwahati.
AAP officials said the list of candidates was finalised after extensive consultations with local party units and grassroots leaders to ensure that the interests of every region are reflected in the upcoming elections.

With the announcement of the first list, the Arvind Kejriwal-led party has formally begun its electoral preparations in Assam ahead of the polls.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission is expected to announce the dates for the Assembly elections in Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry later today.
Special intensive revision of the voters’ lists in these four states and one union territory has already been conducted, with final electoral rolls published.
