Guwahati: In a stride toward building a cleaner and smarter mobility ecosystem in India’s Northeast, A Plus Charge has announced a strategic partnership with Ather Energy, a leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer in the country. The partnership aims to expand the electric vehicle (EV) charging network across Northeast India, driving wider adoption of EVs in the region.
Under this partnership, Ather Energy will set up EV chargers at multiple strategic locations across the Northeast region, each site equipped with advanced fast chargers, integrating Ather’s cutting-edge charging capabilities with A Plus’s high-capacity infrastructure. The charging points will be powered by A Plus Charge, ensuring seamless uptime and user experience.
This collaborative effort aims to strengthen the EV charging infrastructure in the Northeast.
The new charging points will cater to all LECCS (Light Electric Combined Charging System) compatible LEVs (Light Electric Vehicles). They will be placed across cities, major commuting corridors, and high-footfall locations to support the rapidly increasing number of EV users.
“We are excited to partner with Ather Energy, a company that shares our vision of sustainable and smart mobility. This collaboration will not only accelerate EV adoption in the Northeast, but also reinforce A Plus Charge’s position as the region’s top full-stack Charge Point Operator (CPO),” said Samyak Jain, Founder & Director of A Plus Charge.
The initial phase will target key urban hubs such as Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Shillong, and Siliguri. Further expansion is planned for Jorhat, Dimapur, Agartala, and other major cities in the Northeast in the coming months.
