GUWAHATI: Seven individuals were arrested on Friday in connection with the alleged gang rape of a woman on the premises of a temple in Guwahati, Assam.
The arrests were made following the circulation of a purported video of the crime in the Gorchuk area, which reached the attention of local authorities.
Guwahati Police Commissioner Diganta Barah revealed that the investigation began after a journalist provided the video to the police early Friday morning.
