RANGAPARA: An Agniveer pre-recruitment screening camp for eligibility was conducted on Monday at Rangapara Army Cantonment in Sonitpur district, aimed at the Adivasi and Tea Garden Community youth.
The initiative, organised by the Indian Army in collaboration with the Aadhunik India Foundation, sought to train and empower young aspirants from these communities for potential recruitment into the Armed Forces.
Nearly 1200 youths, including girls from various Tea Gardens in Sonitpur district and nearby areas, participated in the Agniveer awareness programme.
Conducted by the Indian Army’s training team, the event included filling out forms, preliminary pre-enrolment screening based on physical standards and ground tests.
The atmosphere was festive and enthusiastic, motivating participants in their preparation for the physical, medical, and written tests required for entry into the Armed Forces as Agniveers.
The commanding officer of the Rangapara Army Cantonment inspired the youth of the Tea Garden and Adivasi communities, highlighting their potential for joining the armed forces.
During the event, the training team provided detailed information about the Agniveer recruitment procedure, covering academics, physical and medical standards, CEE syllabus, and physical exams.
DK Chauhan, National President of Aadhunik India Foundation, also encouraged all Adivasi and Tea Garden Community youth to consider joining the Indian Army, underscoring the importance of their participation in the armed forces.
