Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein has reaffirmed the Arunachal Pradesh government’s commitment to preserving the state’s rich biodiversity and called on citizens to play an active role in protecting forests and endangered species on the occasion of World Wildlife Day.
Urging people to act as responsible custodians of nature, the Deputy Chief Minister stressed that conservation is not limited to protection alone but also involves maintaining the ecological balance that sustains all forms of life.
“On this World Wildlife Day, let us protect the extraordinary biodiversity that enriches our planet with life and colour. Arunachal Pradesh, blessed with vast forests and remarkable wildlife, shelters some of the most majestic and rare species on Earth,” Chowna Mein said in a post on X.
Conserving wildlife is not merely about protection. It is about preserving the fragile ecological balance that sustains every form of life, he stated.
He appealed to citizens to act as responsible stewards of nature by intensifying efforts to preserve forests, protect endangered species and promote sustainable coexistence between humans and wildlife.
“As responsible stewards of nature, we must intensify our efforts to safeguard our forests, conserve endangered species, and encourage a harmonious and sustainable coexistence,” the deputy chief minister stated.
He also called for a renewed collective commitment to conserve the state’s invaluable natural resources for future generations.
