Naharlagun (Arunachal Pradesh): Union Minister Kiren Rijiju reaffirmed the government’s unwavering dedication to creating job opportunities for the youth, emphasising its role in building a progressive and empowered India.
Addressing a Rozgar Mela organised by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) at its North East Frontier Headquarters, Rijiju highlighted the government’s development initiatives over the past decade.
He underscored the significance of Rozgar Melas as a transparent and effective mechanism for providing employment to young people.

During the event, Rijiju, who serves as the Minister for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs, handed over appointment letters to 258 candidates selected for positions in the central armed forces.
Rijiju urged them to contribute toward achieving the government’s vision of a developed India by 2047, a milestone year marking 100 years of independence.
He described their appointments as the beginning of a meaningful journey in public service and called on them to embrace their responsibilities as future leaders dedicated to the nation’s progress.
“This is not just a job; it’s a commitment to serve the country. Your role in securing our nation and contributing to its development is vital,” Rijiju told the recruits.
The event also coincided with a larger national initiative led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister distributed over 71,000 appointment letters to successful candidates across various departments via videoconferencing.
This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing effort to fill 10 lakh positions nationwide in a time-bound manner.
Rijiju praised the transparency and efficiency of the recruitment process under the Rozgar Mela scheme, asserting that it reflects the government’s commitment to fostering employment and ensuring fairness in job allocation.
The Rozgar Mela in Naharlagun is a significant step forward in connecting the youth of the Northeast with meaningful employment opportunities while strengthening the region’s representation in national security forces.
