Parshuram, regarded as one of the incarnations of Lord Vishnu, holds a significant place in Hindu mythology.
The legend narrates that Parshuram, at the behest of his father, killed his mother, and the axe he used became inseparable from his hand due to the associated sin.
Seeking atonement, Parshuram wandered through the Himalayas until, as per the legend, the axe was finally released from his grip after washing his hands in the sacred waters of the Lohit River.
As the festival approaches, Arunachal Pradesh eagerly anticipates the convergence of devotees and the spiritual ambiance that the Parshuram Kund Festival is set to bring to the picturesque region.
