ITANAGAR: In a dazzling finale held at the DK Convention Hall recently, Tadu Lunia clinched the coveted title of Miss Arunachal 2024, captivating the audience with her elegance and intellect.
Lunia, a 22-year-old from Lower Subansiri district, emerged triumphant among a pool of remarkable contestants.
Accompanying Lunia on the podium were Taba Anya of Papum Pare, the first runner-up, and Adam Wangsu of Longding, who secured the position of the second runner-up, revealed Tai Roket, Managing Director of the Miss Arunachal organisation.
Chief Minsiter Pema Khandu extended warm congratulations to Lunia, applauding her exceptional performance and exemplary demeanour. “Heartiest congratulations to Ms Tadu Lunia on being crowned Kingfisher Miss Arunachal 2024…” he wrote a micro-blogging website.
A woman of substance, Lunia aspires to share her knowledge and passion for learning as a lecturer.
Armed with a degree in Sociology from CMR University, she envisions a future where she can inspire and empower others through education. Expressing her joy and gratitude, Lunia articulated her outlook on life, stressing on her commitment to continuous growth and self-reflection.
“My outlook on life is to learn and grow every single day and make a life for myself that I could look back with pride and nostalgia,” a local daily quoted her as saying.
Taba Anya, the first runner-up, boasts a diverse skill set as a freelance scriptwriter and translator.
With a master’s degree in Hindi, she embodies intellect and creativity, nurturing her passions for literature, dance, and culinary arts.
Meanwhile, Adam Wangsu, the second runner-up, is on a journey of academic pursuit, currently studying Botany at St. Edmund’s College in Shillong, Meghalaya.
Her love for exploration and music fuels her aspirations to become a forest officer, blending her passion for nature with a sense of duty towards environmental conservation.
