Itanagar: The 11th Arunachal Film Festival will be held from March 6 to 8 at TNZ Cinemas in Itanagar, bringing together filmmakers and cinema enthusiasts for a celebration of regional storytelling and independent films.

Over the years, the festival has evolved from a platform dedicated to promoting emerging filmmakers from Arunachal Pradesh into a broader cultural event, showcasing cinematic works from across the Northeast. It continues to spotlight local narratives and homegrown talents while expanding its regional footprint.

The three-day programme will feature a curated lineup of film screenings along with panel discussions, interactive sessions, and workshops. Filmmakers, artists, and industry professionals from the region and other parts of the country are expected to participate.

The festival will open with a screening of The Little Monk, directed by Nang Tanvi.

“Get ready for three unforgettable days filled with powerful storytelling, inspiring conversations, insightful panel discussions, hands-on workshops and meaningful interactions with filmmakers and artists from across the region and beyond,” Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said in a post on X.

He said, “With every edition, the festival continues its journey of celebrating emerging voices from the North East — especially our homegrown talents from Arunachal Pradesh, creating a vibrant platform where stories find their audience and dreams find direction.”

The chief minister encouraged filmmakers, students, cinema enthusiasts and all those who believe in the power of storytelling to participate in the festival and be part of the growing creative movement in the state.
