ITANAGAR: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its manifesto, titled “Sankalp Patra”, for the forthcoming assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh.
The document was released by BJP President JP Nadda during a ceremony in Doimukh, followed by a public rally in the state on Wednesday.
Addressing a gathering before the manifesto release, Nadda highlighted the party’s commitment to fostering peace and prosperity in the Northeastern state.
He outlined key focus areas that the BJP plans to prioritise in Arunachal Pradesh, including power generation, tourism potential, 5G connectivity, natural farming, sports, and overall state enhancement.
Describing the manifesto as a “well-deliberated document”, Nadda highlighted its significance in articulating the party’s agenda for the state over the next five years.
He expressed confidence that the proposed initiatives outlined in the manifesto would propel Arunachal Pradesh towards becoming a developed and prosperous region.
In his address, Nadda also underscored the transformative changes witnessed in Arunachal Pradesh, transitioning from a region once associated with isolation and conflict to one now synonymous with growth and development.
Touching upon the border tensions between Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, Nadda reassured that efforts have been made to address the dispute and curb insurgency.
He noted the positive developments in border villages, indicating a shift towards growth and stability.
Nadda embarked on a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands as part of his itinerary.
Upon his arrival at Holongi (Donyi Polo) Airport in Itanagar on April 10, he received a warm welcome from senior party leaders.
Amidst preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, emerging reports suggest that the saffron party is gearing up to launch its manifesto later this week.
