Itanagar: In a significant step towards fostering cultural harmony and linguistic inclusivity, Arunachal Pradesh’s Minister for Education, Rural Works Department (RWD), and Tourism, Pasang Dorjee Sona, inaugurated the Assamese Language Learning Centre (LLC) in Itanagar on Sunday.

Initiated by the Assamese Association of Itanagar (AAI), the centre aims to promote mutual respect, linguistic diversity, and deeper socio-cultural ties between the people of Arunachal Pradesh and neighbouring Assam.

In his address, Minister Sona emphasized the power of language in connecting communities. He stated, “Language isn’t just how we communicate; it’s a force that binds people through shared heritage and understanding.”

The minister lauded the initiative as a model of cultural cooperation, stressing that the Assamese Language Learning Centre would serve as a platform for people from both states to appreciate each other’s rich traditions and history.

He also congratulated the Assamese Association of Itanagar members and all involved in making this vision a reality, calling it a crucial step towards enhancing regional solidarity and brotherhood.
