Itanagar: Rifleman Matton Pansa of the 12 Assam Rifles has clinched a gold medal at the 25th All India Police Duty Meet (AIPDM) Shooting Competition 2025 in Tamil Nadu.
The competition, hosted by the Tamil Nadu State Police, took place at the Tamil Nadu Commando School Training Centre in Othivakkam, Chengalpattu District, from March 17 to March 22.

Having served in the 12 Assam Rifles since 2005, his achievement is considered a major accomplishment for his community.
Congratulating Rifleman Matton Pansa, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein said, “Proud of the achievement made by Riflemen Matton Pansa who hails from Konnu Village in Longding District. I extend my best wishes for his future endeavors!”

The Overall Championship Trophy was bagged by Assam Rifles and the Overall Runners-Up Trophy was secured by the Border Security Force at the All India Police Shooting (AIPDM) Competition.
Tamil Nadu Police hosted the All India Police Shooting (AIPDM) Competition for the third time.
