Itanagar: The picturesque valley of Menchukha, nestled in Arunachal Pradesh, is set to host the ‘High Altitude Butterfly & Biodiversity Meet’ on July 19-20.
This two-day event invites nature enthusiasts and conservationists to explore Menchukha’s pristine landscapes, renowned for their incredible biodiversity.
The attendees will have a unique opportunity to spot rare high-altitude butterflies in their natural habitat.
Beyond butterfly spotting, the meet aims to foster connections among visitors, local communities, and conservationists. Participants will gain insight into the region’s rich ecological tapestry and the vital efforts being made to protect it.
Taking to X, CM Pema Khandu wrote, “Where butterflies dance with clouds and forests whisper ancient secrets… Step into the magical realm of Menchukha this 19–20 July 2025 for the High Altitude Butterfly & Biodiversity Meet.”
He added, “Spot rare high-altitude butterflies in their natural haven, explore pristine landscapes teeming with life, connect with local communities and conservationists and be part of a movement that champions eco-conscious tourism.”
