Tawang: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday inaugurated the first-of-its-kind “International Conclave cum Buyer-Seller Meet” in Tawang, marking a significant step towards boosting agricultural exports from the region.
Organized by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), the event aimed to connect local producers with national and international markets.
The conclave brought together exporters, producers, and stakeholders from across the country to explore ways to enhance branding, value addition, and market linkage under the e-NAM platform.
Speaking during the event, CM Khandu said, “With collaborative efforts, we aim to unlock the vast export potential of Arunachal’s unique agri-products and connect our farmers to global markets.”
The event was attended by Agriculture Minister Gabriel D. Wangsu, legislators Tsering Lhamu, Namgey Tsering and other dignitaries.
At the International Conclave cum Buyer-Seller Meet in Tawang, beautifully curated stalls displayed the finest agri products of Arunachal Pradesh.
Khandu added, “These stalls not only reflect the diversity of our land but also the hard work of our farmers and agri-entrepreneurs. A proud moment as we connect local produce with global markets!”
The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) displayed a wide array of products, highlighting the region’s immense export potential.

The event, aimed at promoting the region’s agriculture, horticulture, processed foods, and organic products, drew participants from both India and abroad.
The conclave provided a key platform to showcase the rich agricultural diversity and entrepreneurial spirit of Northeast India.
