The festival will be held at the DK Convention Hall in Itanagar.

One of the key highlights of the festival is the Children’s Corner. The segment is designed to celebrate creativity and curiosity among young readers through interactive sessions.

Mein stated, “Among the many enriching sessions, one that truly warms the heart is the Children’s Corner, scheduled for 21st and 22nd November. This special segment celebrates imagination, joy, and the boundless curiosity of our young minds.”

The three-day literary festival will feature storytelling, poetry, panel discussions and more, celebrating literature, creativity and cultural heritage.

Over the years, the ALF has grown into a premier literary platform of the state, bringing together celebrated writers, poets, translators, storytellers, scholars, artists, and readers from across India and abroad.

Mami Yamada, a renowned Japanese author with more than 20 books to her credit, including several bestsellers, will be attending the Arunachal Literature Festival. She will be joined by Bhutanese writer Kunzang Choden, the 2023 SAARC Literature Award recipient and author of numerous works, including children’s books.

Maria Gil Burman, director of the Instituto Cervantes — the Spanish Cultural Centre under the Embassy of Spain — will deliver a presentation on “The Role of Instituto Cervantes in Promoting Hispanic Literature in India.”

The session aims to offer insights into how Hispanic literature is introduced and promoted in the country, potentially inspiring local writers to explore new literary techniques, translations, collaborations and comparative studies.
