Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Civil Aviation Minister Balo Raja has requested the resumption of air cargo services to and from Donyi Polo Airport at Hollongi.
The services were temporarily suspended following the shift of operations to the airport’s new terminal building on September 4.
In a letter addressed to Donyi Polo Airport Director P. Narendra on Friday, Minister Raja emphasized that the people of the state had high expectations from air cargo services, which are seen as a key driver for the overall development of Arunachal Pradesh.
A large number of MSMEs from the state have registered to take part in the ensuing India International Trade Fair 2025 to be held in New Delhi from November 14 to 27, he said.
Minister Raja said that the state’s local body elections are also scheduled for December, noting that air cargo services will be essential for transporting EVMs and other election materials across Arunachal Pradesh.
