Heartiest congratulations and best wishes for your future endeavours, Khandu said.

Her achievement has elevated the state’s national sporting presence, inspiring future generations of athletes.

Haryana won the overall (men & women) team titles (49 gold, 32 silver and 25 bronze) on the final day of the 23rd National para athletics championships at the Nehru Stadium here on Thursday.

Tamil Nadu finished second (17, 18, 12) while Uttar Pradesh (14, 17, 11) came third.

The prestigious event was held from February 17 to 20 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai.

The championship has drawn impressive 1,476 para-athletes from across India, competing in 155 events under 30 teams, making it one of the largest para-athletics gatherings in the country.

Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) President Devendra Jhajharia said, “We are confident that this championship in Chennai has set new benchmarks for para-athletic competitions in India. This tournament reflects the rapid growth and increasing competitiveness of para-sports in the country. With world-class facilities and a commitment to inclusivity, we are witnessing a new era for Indian para-athletics.”
