Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh government has introduced e-Bhavishya, a new pension reform initiative designed to provide government employees with transparent, fast, and hassle-free access to their retirement benefits.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced the initiative on social media, stating that the government is committed to honouring its employees’ service by ensuring they receive their dues on time.
He explained that the new system will guarantee the delivery of the pension payment order (PPO) on the very day of retirement, a significant step to eliminate the long-standing delays that have affected pensioners.
With the introduction of e-Bhavishya, over 95 per cent of pension cases are expected to be disposed of within the next three years.
This initiative is a part of the government’s larger “PEMA 3 — Year of Reforms & Growth” agenda. Its goal is to bring accountability, efficiency, and dignity to the post-retirement lives of government employees.

By integrating technology with welfare, the system is expected to significantly reduce pendency and manual delays while allowing pensioners to monitor their applications online.
“The reform is about respecting years of dedicated service to the state and ensuring that retirement does not bring uncertainty or hardship: Khandu said in a post on X.
