Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor KT Parnaik launched the Tourism Department’s ‘Rise and Shine Arunachal Pradesh-2025’ calendar on Saturday.
The event was organised by the state’s Tourism Department, in partnership with Miss India Organisation and the Times Group.
The event was graced by Tourism Minister PD Sona and Bollywood actress and Miss India-2002 Neha Dhupia.
The event also saw the presence of Miss Arunachal 2025 and Femina Miss India winners, adding a dash of glamour to the occasion.
The Governor said the event would help establish Arunachal Pradesh as a world-class tourism destination.
He said the initiative would be instrumental in showcasing the true cultural diversity of Arunachal Pradesh and harnessing the state’s considerable tourism potential.
“Arunachal has all the ingredients to become a world-class tourist destination. With collective efforts from the government, local communities, and tourism agencies, we can unlock its true potential while preserving its unique heritage,” Parnaik stated.
From the first rays of dawn that touch its peaks to its verdant valleys and pristine rivers, Arunachal Pradesh’s beauty shines in the new calendar.
A joint venture between the Tourism Department and the Miss India Organization, the calendar’s 13 images also feature the grace of Femina Miss India queens.
The Governor appealed all to work together to showcase Arunachal as a must-visit destination.
He said the state government is committed to addressing the sector’s issues, recognizing tourism as a key driver of Arunachal Pradesh’s development and progress.
Speaking during the event, Sona said that the time has come to let the world know what Arunachal is all about and what Arunachal can offer to the visitors.
He expressed hope that the calendar would be a major platform for promoting Arunachal Pradesh and showcasing it on a grand scale.

Dhupia, in her address, recounted her experience of shooting for the reality television show ‘Roadies’ in Arunachal, where she was mesmerized by the pristine landscapes, and praised the state’s beauty.
In his welcome address, Tourism Secretary Ranphoa Ngowa said, “The ‘Rise & Shine’ is more than a calendar; it’s a visual journey into the soul of Arunachal Pradesh as it captures the essence of the state.”
