In his address, Mein recalled his association with the late Pasang Wangchuk Sona and praised his lasting contributions to Mechukha’s development. “His son, PD Sona, continues to uphold his father’s vision by championing progress in development and cultural preservation,” Mein said.
“Mechukha boasts an incredibly rich cultural heritage that deserves to be showcased throughout Arunachal Pradesh,” Mein stated, underscoring the importance of preserving Mechukha’s unique cultural identity.
He highlighted the potential of the Dorjee Sempa Khorchen as a major tourist and pilgrimage site for Buddhists from across the country and beyond.
The NCDS Multipurpose Building, a three-story facility, includes guest accommodations for monks, a meditation hall, a conference hall, and the office of the Neh-Nang Cultural Development Society. This structure is expected to enhance cultural and infrastructural facilities in the region.
