Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday inaugurated the Arunachal Vikas Parishad Bhawan (AVP Bhawan) in Itanagar.
The chief minister said the inauguration of the Arunachal Vikash Parishad Bhawan in Itanagar, is a significant milestone in preserving and promoting the indigenous faith, culture, and values of the state.
This centre will serve as a hub for nurturing these values through cultural programs, education, and community-building initiatives, Khandu added.
The project, funded by the Social Justice, Empowerment, and Tribal Affairs department (SJETA), underscores the government’s focus on empowering tribal communities and fostering socio-cultural progress.

“It’s essential to recognize that in traditional societies, faith and culture are deeply intertwined. The indigenous traditions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism born in this sacred land are treasures that must be cherished and preserved. As responsible citizens, it’s our duty to protect and preserve these faiths, regardless of our individual beliefs,” the chief minister said.
Chief Minister Khandu lauded the Arunachal Vikas Parishad (AVP), a sister organization of Akhil Bharatiya Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram, for its contributions to preserving Arunachal Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage and traditions.
Social Justice, Empowerment, and Tribal Affairs (SJETA) and Sports Minister Kento Jini expressed gratitude to the Akhil Bharatiya Parishad for their unwavering support, acknowledging their role in bringing this vision to life.
