Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday led the ‘Run for Unity’ organized by the state BJP to mark Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The event paid tribute to Patel’s pivotal role in unifying the nation and underscored the spirit of unity and collective progress.

The run commenced at 6:30 a.m. from the BJP state headquarters at Vivek Vihar and culminated at Indira Gandhi Park. A large number of party workers, supporters, and citizens participated in the event, showcasing strong public enthusiasm for the message of national integration.

Taking to Twitter, CM Pema Khandu said, “To commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, flagged off the Run for Unity this morning along with State Party President Shri Kaling Moyong ji. Always a source of great energy and inspiration to be among our dedicated Party karyakartas, united in the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat!”
