Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday inaugurated the newly constructed walkway along the banks of the Yomgo River at Puak Ghat in Aalo.
CM Khandu said, “The newly inaugurated walkway along the banks of the majestic Yomgo River at Aalo is a true delight! With their serene ambiance and breathtaking views, these walkways perfectly blend nature’s charm with modern design.”
The newly developed Rs 4.95 crore riverfront walkway is anticipated to significantly elevate the quality of life for Aalo residents and contribute to the region’s tourism growth.
The Yomgo Riverfront Walkway is poised to become a hub for recreation and tourism, marking a significant milestone in Arunachal Pradesh’s journey towards sustainable urban development.
The chief minister also inaugurated a multipurpose hall at Aalo.

He said, “The newly constructed Multipurpose Hall of Aalo stands as a testament to excellence in planning and execution. Its beauty and functionality reflect the hard work and dedication of the contractor and the executing agency—both of whom deserve appreciation for their commitment to quality and timely delivery.”
“I dedicate this facility to the people of Aalo. It is my hope that this hall will not only serve as a venue for various events but also become a hub for community bonding and growth,” Khandu added.
Khandu also attended a public meeting at Logum Jini in Aalo.
He said the much-needed road connecting Jirdin and Eyi via Bumri in West Siang district has been sanctioned.
