Itanagar: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Wednesday honoured 140 candidates who cleared the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE) 2024, urging them to embrace their roles in government with humility, empathy and dedication.
Congratulating the achievers at a felicitation ceremony, Khandu lauded their perseverance and commitment, describing their selection as a reflection of relentless effort and hard work.
He reminded the new officers that public service was not about wielding power but about carrying responsibility.

“Our duty is to serve, not to rule. The essence of governance lies in uplifting communities, solving problems and leading with compassion,” he told the gathering.
The APPSCCE is the state’s premier examination for recruiting officers to various Group A and Group B positions in the government.
Khandu also made a special mention of the eight differently-abled candidates among the successful aspirants, calling their achievement “a source of inspiration.”
“Your success is a beacon of hope, showing that with determination nothing is impossible,” he wrote later on X.
