Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has said the state government is keen to partner with Spotify India to promote the state’s homegrown talent and introduce its music to audiences worldwide.
After holding a meeting with representatives of Spotify India’s Music and Podcast team, CM Khandu shared on X that it was a pleasure to welcome the delegation and discuss potential avenues of cooperation.

He noted that digital streaming services have significantly reshaped the music landscape, changing the way songs are accessed, distributed and monetised. According to him, platforms such as Spotify have opened up new possibilities for artistes across the country.
“Platforms like Spotify have revolutionized how music is discovered, shared, and monetized,” he said.
Khandu pointed out that creators from remote and culturally vibrant states like Arunachal Pradesh now have a greater scope to showcase their work beyond geographical limitations. He added, “It has empowered independent artists, regional musicians, and young creators to reach global audiences without barriers.”
Emphasising the need to harness digital tools to highlight Arunachal Pradesh’s diverse musical traditions, the chief minister expressed confidence that a partnership with Spotify would provide a strong platform for local talent.
“We look forward to meaningful collaboration with Spotify to amplify the voices of our artists and take the music of Arunachal to the world,” the chief minister stated.

Officials said the proposed collaboration is expected to provide opportunities for musicians and content creators, helping project the state’s rich cultural heritage to international audiences.
