ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu called on Union Health Minister J P Nadda at his office in New Delhi on Thursday.
The chief minister was accompanied by Arunachal Pradesh MP Tapir Gao and Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Water Resources Biyuram Wahge.
The meeting focused on addressing the healthcare challenges in the state.
CM Khandu said, “We discussed and sought vital support for improving health infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh, focusing on last-mile connectivity and ensuring quality healthcare for all.”
Earlier, the chief minister also met Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DONER) Jyotiraditya Scindia in New Delhi.
He was accompanied by Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein.
The discussion focused on exploring various development projects to strengthen the state’s position as a key ‘Gateway of Development.’
CM Khandu expressed his enthusiasm about the meeting with the union minister.
Taking to social media, he said, “Union Minister for Communications & Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia is passionate about the growth of NE. Glad to have met Honourable Minister Scindia in New Delhi. We discussed how Arunachal can contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a self-reliant and developed India.”
Khandu also highlighted the state’s need for increased 4G connectivity, a vital step towards enhancing communication and improving the quality of life for residents.
