Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh secured an impressive haul of six silver and three bronze medals at the recently concluded 24th Junior National Wushu Championship held in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Leading the medal charge, Yani Eru clinched two silver medals in the elegant and technical categories of Taolu Jianshu and Taolu Quanshu.
Takam Chumchi added another silver in Taolu Taichi Jian.
Mocha Dini contributed a silver in Taolu Gunshu and a bronze in Taolu Daoshu.
Wangson Tangha earned a bronze in Taolu Nandao, while Tarang Sangbia secured a bronze in the Sanda 65 kg category.
Further enhancing the state’s tally, Onglon Emboi won a silver medal in Taolu Gunshu, and Adhi Natung claimed a silver medal in Sanda in the 52 kg category.
The team was guided by Umesh Yadap as coach and Yorna Rosni as manager.
The All Arunachal Pradesh Wushu Association (AAPWA) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to all the medal winners for their outstanding performance.

Meanwhile, Pungni Tara from Arunachal Pradesh bagged a gold and two silver medals in the 2025 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Competing in the 44 youth girls’ category, Tara won the medal with a total lift of 141 kgs. She lifted 60 kgs in snatch and 81 kgs in clean and jerk.
