Itanagar: The film “Mok Mu” has won the Best Short Film at the 10th Arunachal Film Festival 2025 (AFF).
Set amidst the misty forests of 19th-century Northeast India, “Mok Mu” is a compelling story of loyalty, courage, and survival.

“Mok Mu” is a beautiful tribute to the legacy of Chaupha Plang Lu.
The short film has been directed by Chau Anandra Namchoom, produced by TBH and The Shop Around the Corner, and sponsored by Chow Patan Khankyo.
The three-day event showcased Arunachal Pradesh’s evolving film industry, highlighting local filmmakers, technical expertise, and animation talent.
The Short Film category, featuring entries like “Mok Mu,” “Changes,” and “When Will the Moon Bloom Again,” captivated viewers with their compelling narratives.

Gracing the event, state’s Information and Public Relations Minister Nyato Dukam said the Film and Television Institute of Arunachal Pradesh would soon be commissioned, which will provide vital resources and training to aspiring filmmakers, photographers and technical professionals.
IPR secretary Nyali Ete highlighted the department’s efforts to support the state’s budding filmmakers through initiatives like the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality (AVGC-XR) policy, which was recently introduced by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
