Alliance Air is set to begin direct flights between Guwahati and Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh, with two weekly services starting soon. According to Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Vivek HP, the flights will operate on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The flights will depart from Guwahati at 12:10 pm, arriving in Ziro at 1:25 pm. The return flights will leave Ziro at 1:50 pm, landing in Guwahati at 3:05 pm.
Ziro, known for its MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism potential, is expected to see a boost in tourism with the launch of these direct flights. The region has become a popular destination for MICE activities, offering a conducive environment for business events.
Additionally, the new flight service is expected to benefit local residents by providing quicker access to specialized medical care in larger cities, significantly reducing travel time for urgent healthcare needs.
