Prime Minister Narendra Modi set the stage for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Sunday by launching the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) manifesto, titled “Modi’s Guarantee: Developed India 2047”, or “Sankalp Patra”.
The grand event, which took place at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi, coincided with the birth anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar, revered as the architect of the Indian Constitution.
The BJP’s manifesto, informed by over 1.5 million suggestions, was crafted with inputs solicited through various channels, including the NaMo app and video submissions.
The manifesto, aims to reflect the aspirations of the nation, places a firm emphasis on development, envisioning a prosperous India that uplifts its women, youth, poor, and farmers.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted the importance of job creation through investment, echoing the party’s commitment to empowering India’s dynamic youth.
A significant highlight of the manifesto is the declaration of 2025 as the “Janjatiya Gaurav Year”, underscoring the government’s dedication to honouring indigenous communities.
Prime Minister Modi reiterated the manifesto’s focus on enhancing the “dignity of life” and the “quality of opportunity”, reinforcing the party’s dedication to holistic progress.
In a bid to streamline electoral processes, the manifesto pledges to introduce one nation, one election, alongside a unified electoral roll system.
Furthermore, it extends the ambit of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme to cover every senior citizen above 70 years and the transgender community, underscoring the government’s commitment to inclusive healthcare.
BJP National president Nadda paid tribute to Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy, highlighting the BJP’s unwavering commitment to social justice.
Echoing the party’s core ideology, Nadda affirmed the BJP’s resolve to advance the vision of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, underscoring the manifesto’s alignment with the founding principles of the party.
With a nod to inclusivity, Prime Minister Modi encapsulated the BJP’s vision in the mantra “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas”, highlighting unity and progress for all.
The manifesto launch comes against the backdrop of the Modi regime’s steadfast fulfilment of core promises, including the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
